If you are working out where to eat in Medellín during Feria de las Flores 2026, you have about ten days to plan. The festival’s 69th edition runs July 31 to August 9, 2026, with more than 120 activities in public space carrying free admission, according to El Colombiano; the Alcaldía de Medellín puts the count at “más de 110 actividades gratuitas”. The Alcaldía also confirms the Desfile de Silleteros closes the festival on Sunday, August 9, with more than 530 silleteros and silleteras taking part. (The city numbers the parade as its own series — the 68th Desfile — separately from the festival’s 69th edition.)

What follows is a data-driven summary of the published 2026 programming and current reported prices — not a personal review. Prices in Colombia are moving quickly this year, so treat every figure as accurate as of July 21, 2026.

What paisa food actually costs right now

The headline number is the bandeja paisa, and it has gotten more expensive. At Pueblito Paisa, the classic three-tier bandeja is listed at COP 35,000, with vendors saying it will likely pass COP 40,000 as costs rise, per Telemedellín. That is part of a longer trend: the dish’s price in Medellín has climbed roughly 47.5% over five years, according to El Colombiano.

The 2026 pressure comes from a sharp minimum-wage increase and 2025 inflation that closed above 5%, as Pulzo reports. At the other end, the corrientazo — the set-menu lunch of soup, a main, rice, salad and juice — still anchors the cheap end. Colombia.com puts typical homestyle lunches at COP 12,000 to 25,000 in the Centro, Laureles, Belén and parts of El Poblado.

So a realistic Feria eating budget, per person, per meal:

• COP 12,000–25,000 — corrientazo lunch in a neighborhood restaurant
• COP 25,000–40,000 — bandeja paisa, mondongo or sancocho at a traditional sit-down spot
• COP 60,000+ — a plated dinner with drinks in Provenza or at a food-hall stall. This band is our own editorial estimate, not a figure we found published for 2026; treat it as a planning rule of thumb rather than a quoted price.

Where to eat in Medellín during Feria de las Flores 2026: the food events

The festival’s own programming does a lot of the work for you.

Parque de las Flores, El Tesoro (free). The mall’s Feria season runs July 16 to August 17, across its plazas and walkways, per El Tesoro’s own agenda. The 2026 edition is themed “Colombia, país de las aves” and includes an artisan market of 20 traditional artisans at Plaza Fuente (July 16 to August 2), the Bosque Sonoro bird-sound installation at Plaza Cines, craft workshops, and traditional Colombian food on site, with ingreso libre, according to El Extra. El Tesoro has paired that artisan fair with a Feria de Sabores Tradicionales in past editions — 11 food stands selling arepas de chócolo, carimañolas, envueltos de dulce, maduritos and lechona in 2024, per Vivir en El Poblado — but no vendor count or stall list for the 2026 food fair had been published as of July 21, 2026. It is still the lowest-friction option on this list: no ticket, no reservation.

Chiva day trips to Santa Elena. Full-day chiva tours through the silletero region typically bundle a traditional breakfast and lunch with farm visits. Operator Chivas y Flores runs them across the Feria week; for a verified price point, Fantasy Tours listed its pre-Feria sancocho day trip at COP 129,000–155,000. Where to look for sit-down paisa food

We have not found a published 2026 restaurant roundup for the Feria that we would stand behind — Colombia.com’s what-to-eat piece, for instance, covers the dishes to look for at street stalls, fondas típicas and food fairs, but names no venues. So rather than pass along recommendations we cannot check, here is the geography, which matters more.

Provenza is where demand spikes hardest during the Feria; Laureles, Manila and Envigado have deep restaurant benches and absorb overflow better on busy nights. What to order

• Bandeja paisa — beans, rice, ground beef, chicharrón, fried egg, plantain, avocado, arepa
• Mondongo — slow-simmered tripe soup, a Medellín weekend institution
• Sancocho — bone-and-vegetable broth with yuca, potato and corn
• Buñuelos and obleas — the cheap, ubiquitous street sweets of Feria season

One honest caveat: the Feria’s street stalls and fair vendors are built for volume, and quality varies stall to stall. The food fairs above are the better bet if you want something closer to how these dishes are actually cooked in Antioquia.
