The 37th edition of Colombia’s fashion week runs under the concept “Uniqueness is the New Luxury”, with more than 30 runway shows and 143 events staged across venues around the city, according to El Tiempo.

The city circuit is the part that affects where you eat. Colombiamoda’s own city circuit page describes pop-up runways, boutique parties and cultural events at venues spread across the city, effectively turning neighbourhoods into extensions of the fair. This is not new in principle — in 2025 the circuit opened with a runway staged in Plaza Botero, downtown, as Inexmoda reported — but this year the format is expanded to run the full week.

The bookends:

• Saturday, July 25 — the Opening Weekend debuts with “Artisan Gang in The City”, a Vélez and J Balvin collaboration of 28 looks across five narrative acts, per El Tiempo and Semana.
• Monday, July 27 — the Opening Runway, led by designer Manuela Álvarez, according to Inexmoda.
• Friday, July 31 — the closing show and party.

Where the circuit actually touches food

The official city circuit programme names a handful of food-and-drink stops directly. As of July 22, 2026, these are what is published:

• Ritwal Mesa & Mística, El Poblado — across July 25–31, official badge holders are offered a complimentary welcome treat, a signature beverage or appetiser, at 7:00 P.M.
• Casa Ecleo — a pre-launch brunch on Tuesday, July 28 at 10:00 A.M., listed as open to the public, with participating brands including Agua Coco, Ters, Musee, Benedictions, MCA, Reeva and Capria.
• Restaurante Rúnico — hosts two capacity-limited Casa Ecleo sessions: a styling session with Aida Baladí on Wednesday, July 29, 2:00–5:00 P.M., and a Fashion Business brunch with Johana Isaac on Thursday, July 30, 9:00–11:00 A.M.
• Vía Primavera — “Regresar a la Vía Primavera by Agua Bendita” on Thursday, July 30 at 8:30 P.M., after which the street stays open to the public with extended hours for shops, restaurants and cafés.

Why Colombiamoda 2026 Medellín restaurants get hard to book

Scale is the answer. Organisers expect more than 70,000 attendees and 17,000 specialised buyers, 4,000 of whom arrive from 50 countries, across 650-plus brands, per El Tiempo and Portafolio. Llave Informativa reports a projected economic impact of USD 25 million for the city.

Those buyers do not eat at Plaza Mayor. They eat where they sleep. The Rio Times reports hotels in El Poblado and Laureles already running at very high occupancy with room rates roughly doubled, mid-range rooms at US$120–200 a night, and notes that Colombiamoda has historically pushed citywide occupancy above 85%. We have not found a primary tourism-body figure — Cotelco or Situr Antioquia — that corroborates those occupancy numbers, so treat them as one outlet’s reporting rather than an official statistic.

El Poblado: the epicentre and the bottleneck

Expect Provenza, Manila and the Parque Lleras corridor to absorb most of the after-hours traffic, with Vía Primavera adding a scheduled spike on the evening of the 30th. The Rio Times also notes that bars, hotels and restaurants frequently host unofficial side events during the week — worth watching local listings for, and worth knowing about if you were hoping for a quiet dinner.

Laureles, and the case for going west

Laureles is the pressure valve. It is on the circuit, so it will be busy — but its dining is spread across a much wider street grid than Provenza’s few blocks, and La 70 runs restaurants, bars and cantinas from midday to early morning. If El Poblado is fully booked on the 28th or 29th, this is where to look.

Feria de las Flores begins July 31, the day Colombiamoda closes

There is no gap. The Alcaldía de Medellín confirms Feria de las Flores runs July 31 to August 9 — the same day Colombiamoda closes. El Colombiano frames Expoartesano, Colombiamoda and the Feria as the three big events defining July in the city.
